We invite you to get to know them a little better by reading through their short biographies below before your first appointment with us!

Jesielle, Office Manager

Office Manager Jesielle

Jesielle has been working in the oral healthcare world for over 10 years now, and she really enjoys spending time alongside such a great group of talented ladies here at Amityville Orthodontics! Originally from Levittown, she earned her education from Monroe Community College.

At home, Jesielle is married with two sons and a daughter. She really enjoys spending quality time with friends and family when she isn’t busy at the practice, as well as traveling to lots of exciting new places.

Aleksandra, Front Desk Coordinator

Front desk team member Aleksandra

Coming to us all the way from Tarnow, Poland, Aleksandra says she loves the positive environment in our practice and enjoys being able to learn something new every single day. She comes from a loving family of four plus one cherished fur baby, and she is particularly passionate about essential oils—she’s always happy to talk about them!

Veronica, Treatment Coordinator

Certified dental assistant Veronica

Veronica’s career in the dental field spans two decades and counting so far. She attended the Boces Dental Program for her education and is also certified in EKG & Phlebotomy, as well as CPR. She finds her job very rewarding! Being able to watch the patients undergo beautiful smile transformations from their first appointment to the day they get their braces off is an amazing experience.

Originally from Hempstead, Veronica has four children and a little grandson. She spends her free time trying new foods, visiting new restaurants, and traveling. She is actually bilingual and speaks Spanish in addition to English.

Glenda, Dental Assistant

Dental assistant Glenda

For Glenda, the best part of being a dental assistant is working with people in her community and sharing her orthodontic experience with new patients. She studied at Nassau BOCES, which is where she earned her certifications in dental assisting, CNA, and CPR. Born and raised in Huntington Station, she is looking forward to many more years of helping patients on their journey to their dream smile!

Away from the office, Glenda’s favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family, especially when it involves going out for dinner, going to the movie theater, and shopping. Here’s an interesting fact about her: she’s bilingual in Spanish and English.

Olivia, Orthodontist Assistant

Olivia’s favorite part of her job is being able to work with such an amazing, dedicated team, all while helping others fall in love with their smiles. She is currently attending Florida International University.

Olivia’s hometown is Lindenhurst, and her family includes her mom and dad, older sister, and their dog, Lucky. Both of her parents were born in Poland and moved to the United States when they were young. In her free time, Olivia enjoys going for runs, spending time at the beach, watching sunsets, and attending concerts. She also enjoys journaling and reading. An interesting fact about Olivia is that, ever since she was in elementary school, she has always wanted to become an orthodontist!

Valeria, Dental Assistant

Valeria loves being able to work with such an amazing and supportive team. She appreciates having a career where she can learn something new every day—it fuels her to constantly strive to improve! Valeria earned her Dental Assisting Certification from Nassau Boces.

While Valeria’s family is in Colombia, they are her greatest source of strength and encouragement to keep growing and become the best version of herself she can be. She is also grateful to have so much support from her local family. In her free time, Valeria enjoys staying active and going to the gym. She also likes to bake and decorate cakes.

Daria, Dental Assistant

Daria started her dental career with us, and she says the best part is getting to meet new people, seeing their smiles transform, and constantly learning new things she can apply right away. Her parents are originally from Poland like Dr. Balicka, and she grew up in Levittown. When she isn’t playing a variety of sports or getting strong in the gym, she really likes baking—ask her about the last thing she made!
